- 1. The SS163 is gorgeous but slow — never plan tight timing. Buses rule the road.
- 2. Parking: expensive everywhere, scarce in Positano/Amalfi. Book accommodations with parking or use garages, don't hunt street spots.
- 3. Ferries: Sorrento-Capri runs year-round; Amalfi-Positano-Salerno boats are summer-only but the best way to see the coast without driving.
- 4. Best meals: Atrani, Anacapri, random mountain trattorias — not the view restaurants.
- 5. Day 2: Blue Grotto or coastal walk → Ferry back to Sorrento ferry transit only 1.5h — allow ≥2h door-to-door
