A comprehensive loop through the Canadian Rockies, covering major hubs and scenic parkways while navigating around specific seasonal or unroutable access points.
I’m reading the trip as a 10-day Canada self-drive, so I’ve kept it as a relaxed Calgary–Banff–Jasper–Yoho–Canmore loop with no unroutable Moraine Lake / Takakkaw Falls / Johnston Canyon–Castle Junction legs.
Book Banff/Jasper lodging early if traveling June–September; prices jump hard and the best-located rooms disappear first.
Carry layers every day, even in summer. The Icefields Parkway can feel like a different season from Calgary.
