Desert Stone Loop

This plan avoids the Grand Canyon North Rim because current NPS information for 2026 notes seasonal reopening details and possible status changes; the South Rim is the safer anchor for a first Grand Canyon visit.

Route: Las Vegas → Hoover Dam → Seligman → Grand Canyon Village → Mather Point → Hopi Point → Desert View Watchtower → Cameron → Page → Horseshoe Bend → Antelope Canyon → Wahweap Overlook → Navajo National Monument → Monument Valley → Mexican Hat → Goosenecks State Park → Natural Bridges National Monument → Hanksville → Capitol Reef → Torrey → Lower Calf Creek Falls → Bryce Canyon → Zion → Springdale → Las Vegas
✅ Current month (May) is in this region's prime season. Grand Canyon / Zion / Antelope: Mar-May & Oct best. Jun-Aug 40°C+ heat is dangerous on trails.

A 12-day driving-only loop from Las Vegas through Grand Canyon South Rim, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, and Zion — slow enough to actually feel the desert change around you.
