  2. Day 2 · Atlantic's Last Tear

    A long transit day, but the destination is a sapphire dream.

      Hit the road early to beat the city traffic.

    • Sayram Lake

      Drive the full 70km loop around the lake. It's a game-changer.

  3. Day 3 · Bridge to Ili

    Crossing the most beautiful bridge in China into the Ili Valley.

    • Guozigou Bridge

      This is THE photo day. The bridge looks like a dragon in the valley.

    • Kazanqi Village

      Blue houses and horse carriages. Feels like a movie set.

  4. Day 4 · The Bagua City

    Heading to a city with no traffic lights and endless green hills.

      The 'Human Body Grassland' curves are unreal. Best in June/July.

      A city built as an 8-sided trigram. Explore the center plaza.

  5. Day 5 · Sky Grassland

    Nalati is the postcard version of Xinjiang. Pure green bliss.

      Ride a horse up to the higher ridges. The view is endless.

  6. Day 6 · Swan Lake Sunset

    Watching the sun set over the 9 curves of the Kaidu River.

      Quiet wetlands where wild swans gather. Very peaceful.

      Wait for the '9 suns' reflection in the river. Iconic.

  7. Day 7 · The Duku Highway

    Driving the most famous road in China. Four seasons in one day.

      Switchbacks, snow walls, and deep canyons. Keep your eyes on the road!

    • Dushanzi Canyon

      A massive crack in the earth. Looks like another planet.

  8. Day 8 · The Ghost City

    Wind-carved rocks that howl at night. Spooky and cool.

    • Burqin Town

      A Russian-style town. Great night market for grilled fish.

  9. Day 9 · The Crown Jewel

    Kanas is the reason people come to Xinjiang. It's pure magic.

      Walk the boardwalk between the bays. The water color is insane.

    • Fish Pavilion

      Climb 1000+ steps for the bird's eye view of the whole lake.

  10. Day 10 · Hemu Morning Mist

    Waking up in a Tuvan village before heading home.

      Watch the smoke rise from log cabins in the morning mist.

      Drop the car and catch your flight. End of an epic loop!
