Heads Up
- A Parks Pass is required for Freycinet, Douglas-Apsley and Cradle Mountain. Dove Lake is reached by park shuttle from the visitor centre.
- Book the Port Arthur evening ghost tour, the Devils@Cradle night feeding and the West Coast Wilderness Railway ahead. Check whether the railway departs from Queenstown or Strahan.
- Mountain and west-coast roads are narrow and winding, and wildlife is common at dusk. Avoid night driving and check kunanyi summit road conditions before you go.
- Salamanca Market runs only on Saturdays, so plan your Hobart day around it.
