Money Savers
  1. 1Parks pass: ~$11 CAD/person/day or $22/vehicle — buy the annual Discovery Pass if you're staying 7+ days.
  2. 2Fuel: Tank up in Lake Louise before the parkway; Saskatchewan River Crossing has one pump but it's overpriced and unreliable.
Heads Up

Book ahead: Moraine Lake shuttle, Spirit Island boat, and all Jasper lodging — these sell out weeks in advance June-September.

Wildlife: Elk, bighorn sheep, black bears all common roadside. Keep 30m distance, 100m for bears. Don't be the person blocking traffic for a selfie.

Best season: Mid-June to late September. Shoulder season (May, October) has fewer crowds but some trails/shuttles close.
